New Delhi. CBI has taken a big action in the case of corruption in railway tender allocation and has arrested seven people. These include many senior railway officials. They are accused of taking a bribe of Rs 11 lakh in lieu of railway tenders etc. and also giving jewellery in exchange for getting work done.

News agency ANI quoted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as saying that Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Senior Divisional Finance Manager (Senior DFM), then Senior Divisional Engineer (Senior DEN) Coordination of Guntakal Division (Andhra Pradesh) of South Central Railway have been arrested in connection with the case of taking a bribe of Rs 11 lakh in railway tenders etc. and giving jewellery in exchange for getting the work done.

Two private persons were also arrested

Apart from this, seven people including office superintendent, accounts assistant, director (private person) of a Bangalore based firm and another private person have been arrested.
