UP News: In Baghpat, the counterfeiters gave fake Bisleri water to none other than the Baghpat DM. When the DM examined the bottle, he did not drink the water from the bottle but got the entire matter investigated and raided the warehouse of the fake brand and got 2663 bottles destroyed with a bulldozer. The action was started by sealing the warehouse, even before this, a fake brand of water has been caught in Sinauli village.

In view of the Haryana elections, a fake brand of water bottle was placed in front of DM Jitendra Pratap Singh and SP Arpit Vijayvargiya who were checking at the Niwada police checkpost of Baghpat Kotwali on the UP border. When the DM examined the bottle, it turned out to be a fake brand called Bisleri and not Bisleri. The DM directed the Food Safety Department to check the purity of the water.

When Assistant Food Safety Commissioner Manvendra Singh sought information from Niwada police station regarding Bisleri water, the police personnel told that the water bottles were purchased from a shop in Gauripur Jawaharnagar village. When the investigation proceeded, on reaching the shop, it was found that Bhim Singh, son of Gaje Singh of Gauripur Jawahar Nagar, had set up a warehouse of water bottles in his house without a license and was supplying fake brand water to other shops of the district, which did not even have a license.

Assistant Food Safety Commissioner Manvendra Singh seized 2663 water bottles on the spot and investigated them. It was found that the water bottles were being supplied by putting imitation Bisleri labels on the original brand. On which the team of the Food Safety Department collected water samples and sent them to the laboratory and 2663 bottles were immediately destroyed by bulldozer on the spot.

As the warehouse did not have a license, it was sealed and closed with immediate effect. On questioning the accused Bhim Singh, it was found that water bottles of fake brands are supplied from Haryana to other shops in the district of Baghpat. In this regard, the DM has constituted a team and directed to take action. He said that no fake food and beverages should be sold to the general public in the name of the original brand and if anyone is found selling it, strict action will be taken against him.
