Billionaires in India: India may be a developing country, but in terms of the number of billionaires, it is competing with countries like America and China. You will be surprised to know that in the year 2024, the number of billionaires in India has increased to 185. The number of billionaires in America is 835 and in China it is 427. This has been revealed in a recent report.

In the last one year, 32 new people have joined the list of billionaires in India, with an increase of 21 percent. Whereas since 2015, this figure has increased by 123 percent. In the last one year, the total wealth of billionaires in India has increased by 42.1 percent to reach $ 905.6 billion.

America and China are also involved in the race

While 84 new people have been added to the list of billionaires in America in the last one year, 93 people have been dropped from this list in China. The total wealth of billionaires in America has increased from 4.6 trillion dollars to 5.8 trillion dollars, while if we talk about China, the total wealth of billionaires here has fallen from 1.8 trillion dollars to 1.4 trillion dollars.

The number of billionaires across the world has increased in the year 2024. Their number was 1,757 in 2015, which increased to 2,682 this year. Their total wealth has also increased from $6.3 trillion to $14 trillion, which shows an increase of 121 percent. 

India is likely to progress further

The report also revealed that from 2015 to 2020, the wealth of billionaires globally increased by 10 per cent annually, while since 2020 it has remained stable at 1 per cent. However, data from America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia have not been included in it.

Out of the 2,682 billionaires born this year, 1,877 have reached this position on their own, while 805 billionaires are those who have inherited their wealth. Another good news for India is that there can be a huge jump in the number of billionaire entrepreneurs here in the next decade.
