Aligarh Encounter: During checking late at night in Gonda police station area of ​​Aligarh, an encounter took place between cow smugglers travelling in a car and the police in which one miscreant got injured after being shot in the leg, while his other companions escaped taking advantage of the darkness. The cow smuggler injured in the encounter was immediately taken to CHC for treatment by the police team.

Police recovered from their possession a car with Delhi registration number, a pistol, two empty cartridges and one live cartridge, sharp knives related to cow slaughter, rope, syringe, 21 needles and two tablets of XYLAZINE brand medicine. Police registered a case against the cow smuggler at the police station under several sections including Arms Act. Also, a police team was sent to arrest other cow smugglers who escaped from the spot taking advantage of the darkness. Police is investigating the case and taking other necessary legal action.

According to the information, on September 14, a case was registered at the police station under the Cow Slaughter Act on the information of finding the remains of some cows in the forests of village Nagla Birkhu of Thana Gonda area. In the case registered at the police station related to cow slaughter, cow smuggler Mateen Qureshi son Munna, resident of Kazipara of Thana Tappal area, along with his partner Aman son Islam, resident of Kasba Khair of Thana Khair area, and Nazim son Islam, resident of Janta Mazdoor Colony Seelampur Delhi, who were involved in cow slaughter, were continuously absconding after dodging the police.

Criminal got shot in police encounter:
On the late night of 2nd October, during vehicle checking by Gonda police station, the cow smugglers travelling in a car, on seeing the police team, started running away from the car through another route. During this, the car of the cow smugglers went out of control and got stuck in the fields on the side of the road. Meanwhile, the police team also reached the car riders who were fleeing from the spot. On seeing the police coming, the criminals travelling in the car started firing. In retaliation, the wanted cow smuggler got injured after being shot in the leg. While his other companions took advantage of the darkness and fled from the spot, a team has been sent to arrest them.

Area Officer Iglas Rajiv Dwivedi said that in the late night of 1st and 2nd October, the Gonda police team was checking vehicles near the Kinmasa canal culvert. Then the police tried to stop a suspicious car. On which the car driver turned the car and fled from another route. Then the car went out of control and got stuck in the fields on the side of the road. The car riders opened fire on the police team. In the encounter between the police and the criminals, a criminal was injured after being shot in the leg.

Cow slaughter material recovered from the smuggler's possession;
during police interrogation he told his name as Mateen Qureshi son of Munna, resident of Kazipara police station Tappal. During the search of the vehicle, items related to cow slaughter such as knives, ropes, syringes etc. were recovered from it. The injured person was sent to CHC with the police team for immediate medical assistance. Other necessary legal action will be taken by registering a case at the police station regarding the incident. Along with this, other necessary action is also being taken by calling the field unit team on the spot.
