An Air India flight from New Delhi to Visakhapatnam received a bomb threat late Tuesday night but it turned out to be a hoax after a thorough investigation upon landing in the port city. Visakhapatnam airport director S Raja Reddy said the Delhi police received the bomb threat call and the airline and the Visakhapatnam airport were alerted.

Reddy told PTI that the plane landed safely and a thorough investigation of the flight revealed that it was a false call. He said there were 107 passengers on the Vizag-bound flight. The director said that when the passengers were deboarded and checked, nothing suspicious was found.
