Ingredients for making Mango Panna

  • Raw mango (kairi) – 2
  • Jaggery/sugar – 3 tbsp
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Mint leaves – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Black salt – 1 tsp
  • White salt – as per taste

How to make Mango Panna

  • To make Mango Panna, first take raw mangoes and wash them thoroughly.
  • After this, put them in a pressure cooker and keep them for boiling.
  • When the cooker whistles 4 times, turn off the gas and keep it aside to cool.
  • Once the pressure of the cooker is released, remove the lid and take the mangoes out of the water.
  • Once the mangoes cool down, peel them and take out the pulp in a bowl and keep it aside.
  • Now mash this pulp well with the help of hands and add grated jaggery or sugar to it.
  • Add finely chopped mint leaves, cumin powder, black salt, black pepper and salt as per taste and mix.
  • Your delicious mango panna is ready. Enjoy it in the hot afternoon.
