An interesting incident has been seen in an Air India flight going from Delhi to Mumbai. Actually, Air India flight number AI 2957 sent an emergency signal to Air Traffic Control i.e. ATC. The possibility of hijacking was expressed in this signal. After receiving the signal from the plane, all the security agencies became alert and the military forces became active. Let us tell you that this incident is of 27 January 2025, when the plane took off, this alert was sent to ATC at 8:40 am. After receiving the alert from the plane, Delhi Air Traffic Control followed the rules and informed the destination airport, security agencies and Indian Air Force about it.

According to a report published in Hindustan Times, after receiving the information, a Central Coordination Committee was formed, which included representatives from Delhi Police, Central Industrial Security Force, Airport Authority of India, Bureau of Civil Aviation and Air Force. However, immediately after sending the alert, the pilot contacted ATC and informed that it was a false alarm and the plane was operating normally. However, even after the pilot gave the information, the officers were apprehensive because they felt that the pilot might be under pressure from someone and might be under pressure to misrepresent things.

Let us tell you that there were 126 passengers on board this Air India flight going from Delhi to Mumbai. This flight landed at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 9:47 pm. Let us tell you that by this time the local police force and NSG had been deployed at the airport. The plane was brought to a corner of the airport for inspection. After this, after a thorough investigation, the passengers were allowed to go as there was no danger there. Let us tell you that an investigation is being conducted regarding the false alarm. This investigation is being led by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation i.e. DGCA.
