
News Topical, Digital Desk : IT giant Wipro informed on Friday after the stock market closed that it will acquire 100 percent stake in Harman Connected Services. This deal will be completed for approximately $375 million. Wipro said that it will buy 100 percent stake in Harman Connected Services Inc. and its subsidiaries and other assets (DTS) from Harman International Industries Inc. The company has signed a definitive agreement for this.
Through this acquisition, Wipro will further strengthen its digital engineering, software solutions and connected technology services business. DTS is a global provider that provides ER&D (Engineering Research & Development) and IT services. This acquisition will further strengthen Wipro's AI-powered digital engineering and device engineering capabilities.
The deal will be completed by December 2025. The company says that combining DTS's personalized and high-touch service model with Wipro's global scale, advanced technology ecosystem and large resources will give customers both the agility and accuracy of a specialist provider and the reach and capabilities of a global leader. This acquisition process is expected to be completed by 31 December 2025.
Share performance The company's stock closed at Rs 250.40 on Thursday, down 0.18 per cent. In the last one year, the company's stock has declined by 4.86 per cent.
