If possible, wake up early on Amavasya and take a bath in a holy river. Also perform Pinddaan and Shradh rituals on this day. It is believed that by doing this, ancestors can attain salvation. Along with this, it is believed that ancestors also reside in the Peepal tree. In such a situation, worship the Peepal tree on Amavasya and do seven rounds. After this, put black sesame seeds in mustard oil and light a lamp under the Peepal tree.

On the day of Amavasya, you can light a mustard oil lamp in the south direction outside the house, because this direction is considered to be the direction of ancestors. By doing this remedy, the person gets the blessings of the ancestors. Along with this, you can also recite Pitru Chalisa on Amavasya, which pleases the ancestors.

On the day of Amavasya, food should be served to Brahmins and donations should be given. Along with this, donate something to the poor and needy people according to your capacity. You can donate food, money and clothes on this day (Amavasya 2025 Daan). By doing this, the souls of the ancestors get peace and they bless you with happiness and prosperity.
