Meerut: This is good news not only for Meerut but also for the people of western Uttar Pradesh. Now the journey from Meerut to Lucknow will be reduced to just seven hours. Vande Bharat Express is starting from Meerut on 31st August at 12:30 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train virtually. For this, Delhi Railway Division's ADRM Vikram Singh Rana inspected Meerut Railway Station on Wednesday. Rajya Sabha member Laxmikant Bajpai said that the train will start from 31st August.

It was told that on 31st August, children from four schools of Meerut, Diwan Public School, Darshan Public School, Rishabh Academy and Lord Krishna School will travel in this train. This train will leave from Meerut at 6:35 am and will reach Lucknow at 1:45 pm. This train will leave from Lucknow in the afternoon and will reach Meerut in about seven hours.

Modern Vande Bharat Express train is made in India

Vande Bharat train is completely manufactured in India. It is India's first semi high speed train. This train is an engineless train. Indian trains have separate engine coaches, whereas this train does not have such a thing. It has an integrated engine like bullet or metro train. This train has fully automatic doors and AC coaches.

Economy and Executive Class facilities

The train is fully AC. It has economy and executive class facilities. Executive class has revolving chairs which can rotate up to 180 degrees. Its doors will open just like the metro.

Food will be available in the ticket amount only

If you are travelling from Meerut to Lucknow, you will be provided with breakfast and lunch in the train. If you are coming from Lucknow to Meerut, then apart from breakfast, dinner will also be provided. All this will be provided in the ticket money only. Onboard Wi-Fi facility will also be provided. You will keep getting information on the screen about which station the train is stopping at.
