Amidst the humid heat, it is raining heavily in Lucknow on Wednesday. This can be gauged from the fact that the effect of this heavy rain has reached the UP Vidhan Sabha in the capital. The ground floor of the Lucknow Vidhan Sabha is completely filled with rain water.

Due to waterlogging on the ground floor of the Assembly after heavy rains, the Chief Minister had to go out through another route. 

After waterlogging, SP MLA went home on scooter

Meanwhile, SP MLA from Nizamabad Azamgarh, Alam Badi, had to go home by scooter after his vehicle got stuck in the waterlogging following the rain.

Meteorological Department issued warning regarding heavy rain

Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of rainfall for the next 7 days. The department has also warned about lightning and heavy rain. Citizens of Lucknow were alerted and appealed not to go out of the house unnecessarily. The Meteorological Department has also advised to avoid coming in contact with unsafe buildings and trees.

Torrential rain increased trouble during UP assembly session

Let us tell you that the UP Legislative Assembly session is currently going on in the state. On Tuesday, the state government presented the first supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-25 in the House.

The size of the budget is Rs 12,909 crore. Apart from this, the government took a tough stand on the paper leak case and love jihad and introduced a new law which has also been approved. Now on the third day of the assembly session, torrential rain increased the trouble. Rain water reached the ground floor of the assembly.
