Lucknow : Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) will take accused Samiullah Khan on remand at 11 am on Friday in the case of making international calls through illegal SIM boxes and other devices. This remand will last till 11 am on 6 August 2024.

The ATS team will reach the district jail Gosaiganj in the morning to take the accused, Samiullah Khan, on remand. During this time, the ATS will collect evidence against the accused Samiullah Khan's gang. They will go to the place where he has collected the illegal SIM boxes and recover them. They will also collect information by investigating the bank accounts in which the accused transferred the money.

Samiullah Khan was arrested at Lucknow airport.   

Samiullah Khan was originally a resident of Saraimir in the Azamgarh district. On July 30, ATS arrested him from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. During the arrest, the accused, Samiullah Khan, had told in his statements that he had kept the equipment for installing SIM boxes and related equipment in a flat. From there, he was running an illegal gang of international calling.

It is necessary to take the accused on police custody remand to get detailed information about the SIM cards used in the SIM boxes. Along with this, ATS will gather information about other gang members.
