Chitrakoot: A bus lost control and fell into a ditch in the Kali Ghati of Manikpur. One passenger died on the spot in the accident. While six passengers are injured. The police admitted the injured to the district hospital with the help of an ambulance and took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.

Police took out the injured

The bus was coming to Manikpur from Rajapur at around 2 pm on Thursday with 50 passengers. Before the bus could reach Manikpur, an accident occurred in Kali Ghati. The bus went out of control and overturned.

After the bus overturned, the locals who arrived after hearing the passengers' cries informed the police about the accident. The police took out the injured. Rajapur resident Hemraj Singh died on the spot.

The injured are being treated at the district hospital. District Magistrate Shivsharanappa GN and Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh also reached the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured. Police station in-charge Manikpur Durgvijay Singh said that one person has died due to the bus overturning. While six people are injured. The injured have been sent to the district hospital. The relatives of the deceased have been informed about the incident over the phone.
