Banda : Allahabad High Court had ordered to give the benefit of salary hike to the employees who retired on 30th June on 1st July. For not complying with this, the High Court has issued an arrest warrant against the DM.
Ramesh Kumar, a resident of the district, and 16 others retired on June 30 in different years between 2012 and 2023. All of them received salary increment from July 1 to June 30 of the retirement year. However, the concerned department refused to give the salary increment due on July 1. They said that they were not in service on the date on which the salary increment was given.
Arrest warrant issued for DM
The petitioners had challenged this order in the High Court. In this case, the High Court had ordered to give the benefit of salary hike to the petitioners. This was not complied with in the district. In this case, the High Court has issued an arrest warrant for the DM.
The court has said that DM Banda should deposit a personal bond of Rs 20,000 before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Banda and give an affidavit that he will be present before the court on July 25 at 2 pm. Justice JJ Munir has given this order on the petition of Ramesh Kumar Srivastava and 16 others. On the other hand, an attempt was made to take the side of DM Banda Nagendra Pratap in this regard but he could not be contacted.
