Sawan Shivratri 2026: CM Yogi Performs Sacred Rudrabhishek At Ancient Mansarovar Temple For UP's Prosperity

On the auspicious occasion of Sawan Shivratri, Gorakshapeethadhiswar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered solemn prayers and performed the sacred Rudrabhishek ritual at the historic Mansarovar Temple in Gorakhpur. Marking the Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi of the holy month of Sawan, the Chief Minister performed elaborate Vedic rituals to invoke Lord Shiva's blessings for the health, happiness, peace, and overall economic prosperity of the citizens across Uttar Pradesh.

Consecutive Days Of Vedic Rituals In Gorakhpur

This spiritual ceremony marked the Chief Minister's second consecutive day of conducting holy rituals during his stay in Gorakhpur. Prior to his visit to the Mansarovar Temple, CM Yogi had performed a formal Rudrabhishek ceremony at the revered Shaktipeeth inside the Gorakhnath Temple complex. His visit to the ancient Mansarovar shrine highlights the deep-rooted cultural and religious heritage associated with the Gorakhnath area during the holy Sawan period.

Traditional Offerings And Vedic Chanting By Shrine Priests

During the sacred ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered sacred Bilva leaves, lotus flowers, Durva grass, and traditional worship materials to Lord Mahadev. Following age-old traditions, he anointed the Shivling with Panchamrit—a holy blend of cow's milk, curd, honey, sugar, and water. Learned priests from the Gorakhnath Temple led the ceremonial chanting, reciting the powerful Mahamantras from the Rudrashtadhyayi of the Shukla Yajurveda Samhita.

Havan And Aarti Conclude Prayers For Universal Welfare

Following the completion of the fluid abhishekam, CM Yogi participated in the sacred Havan and performed the traditional Aarti amid the powerful chanting of Vedic mantras. Concluding the holy rituals, the Chief Minister dedicated his prayers to the Supreme God Lord Shiva, seeking universal well-being, social harmony, and a disease-free, prosperous future for all residents of the state.
