Lakhimpur Kheri Road Tragedy: Speeding Car Kills Two Teenagers on Bike, Three Critical

A horrific road accident sent shockwaves through Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning when a speeding vehicle collided with a motorcycle in the Lakhimpur Kheri district. The fatal crash took place near the Farsaiya intersection along the Palia-Dudhwa Road, turning what should have been a peaceful holiday into a day of profound mourning. According to eyewitnesses and local authorities, five teenagers were riding on a single motorcycle heading toward Palia when a car approaching from the Dudhwa direction struck them with devastating force. The impact threw the young riders violently onto the asphalt, resulting in immediate fatalities for two victims and leaving three others fighting for their lives.

Immediate Casualties and Urgent Medical Rescue Efforts

The violent collision claimed the lives of 13-year-old Anand, son of Shravan, and 16-year-old Shiva, son of Raju, who both died on the spot. Three other teenagers involved in the crash—identified as 16-year-old Rohit, 17-year-old Aniket, and 17-year-old Atish, all hailing from the Rajatopper area of Patihan—sustained severe injuries. Prompted by cries for help, local residents rushed to the accident site and assisted in hurriedly transporting the injured victims to the nearest local health center. Due to the critical nature of their injuries, attending physicians promptly referred them to the district hospital for advanced emergency medical care. Local police forces arrived swiftly at the scene, taking control of the chaotic situation, arresting the car driver identified as Anil, and seizing both vehicles involved in the crash. Following standard legal protocols, the police completed the necessary panchnama and transferred the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem examinations, while a pall of gloom descended upon the grieving village of Patihan.

Separate Incident: Kanwariyas Dragged by Car in Mohammadi

In an unrelated yet equally alarming road incident reported late Friday night within the Lakhimpur Kheri district, another tragedy struck near the Kathina River crossing under the Reharia and Mohammadi police jurisdictions. An unidentified speeding car plowed into a motorcycle carrying two pilgrims who were traveling to the Gola temple to offer holy water. The collision was so severe that the motorcycle became wedged beneath the car and was dragged for nearly a kilometer before the driver fled toward Nayagaon. Station House Officer Sunil Malik and local police teams rushed to the site, rescuing the victims—identified as Shyamu and Vipin from Khetara village—and rushing them to the Gola Central Health Center, where medical staff confirmed their conditions remain critical as investigations continue.
