Prior to departing state capital Lucknow for official engagements in Noida on Friday, the Chief Minister convened an urgent operational review to take formal cognizance of the widespread loss of life, livestock casualties, property destruction, and agrarian losses caused by the weather system. Instructing the administrative apparatus to discard passive responses, the Chief Minister ordered divisional commissioners, district magistrates, and senior departmental officers to immediately step out of their offices and conduct physical inspections in submerged and vulnerable localities to supervise relief and rescue operations firsthand.

Setting an uncompromising timeline for bureaucratic action, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued an executive directive requiring all district administrations to finalize comprehensive ground assessments of rain- and lightning-induced damages within 24 hours. The order mandates prompt disbursement of financial ex gratia and emergency compensation to next of kin of deceased victims, injured persons, and families facing livestock deaths or home collapses. Emphasizing zero administrative delay, the Chief Minister underlined that affected citizens must receive comprehensive state assistance—including emergency dry ration kits, clean drinking water, temporary tarpaulins, and medical aid—without undergoing tedious paperwork bottlenecks.
Public Safety Advisory on Lightning Strikes and Swollen Water Bodies
Alongside administrative directives, the state government issued a cautionary public safety advisory urging citizens across Uttar Pradesh to exercise heightened vigilance during active thunderstorms. With lightning-related mishaps posing a severe threat during seasonal downpours, the Chief Minister appealed to the public to refrain from stepping outdoors unnecessarily, taking shelter under isolated trees, or remaining in open agricultural fields during intense electrical storms. Additionally, people were strictly advised against venturing near swollen rivers, canals, reservoirs, and drainage gullies for bathing or leisure activities, warning that rapidly rising water currents present severe life-threatening hazards.
Precautionary School Closures Declared Across Ayodhya District
In direct response to local meteorological forecasts predicting sustained heavy precipitation, the Ayodhya district administration declared an immediate educational shutdown. Following directives issued by District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi, all schools affiliated with various educational boards—spanning CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, and basic education councils—remained closed on Friday for classes ranging from nursery up to intermediate (Class 12). The district administration clarified that while regular classroom teaching stands suspended to protect students from transit hazards, previously scheduled institutional examinations will proceed as planned, with designated examination personnel and administrative staff carrying out their responsibilities without interruption.
