Demand for the expansion of various rail services—including Vande Bharat—ensuring regular train operations, and increasing the number of stops at major stations: Keshav Maurya

Shri Maurya has written a letter to Ashwini Vaishnaw, offering 13 significant suggestions and requests aimed at making rail travel more accessible, convenient, and efficient for the people of Prayagraj and its surrounding areas. His proposals include increasing the frequency of the Patna-Vasco da Gama Express to three days a week and enhancing its quota; providing a stop for the Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express at Aligarh; and extending the Vibhuti Express to 24 coaches while shifting its point of operation from Rambagh to Subedarganj. He has also requested a stop for the Saryu Express at Dayalpur station and the extension of the Vande Bharat trains—running from Varanasi to Ranchi and Deoghar—up to Prayagraj Rambagh.

Keeping the region's long-term transport needs in mind, the Deputy Chief Minister has proposed converting the Naini-Prayagraj rail bridge into a two-tiered structure to incorporate a roadway. He has also suggested bringing all railway stations in Prayagraj under the jurisdiction of the North Central Railway and prefixing 'Prayagraj' to the names of the Jhunsi, Karchhana, and Bamrauli stations. Furthermore, he has requested that Subedarganj railway station be renamed 'Prayagraj Cantt'. Shri Maurya emphasized that Prayagraj is a vital hub from religious, cultural, educational, and economic perspectives. He noted that expanding rail facilities would provide better connectivity for passengers, simplify travel, and impart fresh momentum to the region's development.
