Setting a decisive roadmap for social welfare and state empowerment, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired the sixth high-level meeting of the State Transformation Commission. Placing top priority on the state's ambitious 'Zero Poverty Campaign', the Chief Minister directed the immediate formation of a specialized task force to issue Antyodaya ration cards to newly identified underprivileged families. Comprehensive survey data presented during the review meeting revealed that 12.50 lakh vulnerable families have been identified across Uttar Pradesh under the Zero Poverty initiative. Out of these, approximately 9 lakh families qualify for housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, while nearly 5 lakh additional families will receive benefits through the Chief Minister Awas Yojana. Furthermore, 6.67 lakh eligible households yet to receive Ayushman health cards will be covered immediately. The state has already registered 5 lakh construction workers with the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, alongside setting a firm target to provide specialized skill training to at least one member from 10.60 lakh families to ensure sustainable livelihoods.

Rapid Expressway Expansion: Deadlines Set for Land Acquisition Across Key Corridors

Alongside social welfare, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed major strategic infrastructure projects, urging accelerated progress on state link expressways. Official reports confirmed substantial progress in land availability:

• Farrukhabad Link Expressway: 88.45 percent of required land acquired.

• Jhansi Link Expressway: 72.71 percent land made available.

• Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link Expressway: 63 percent land acquired.

• Jewar Link Expressway: 59.35 percent land secured.

The Chief Minister instructed District Magistrates overseeing the Meerut-Haridwar, Vindhya, Vindhya-Purvanchal, and Noida-Jewar link routes to resolve land acquisition processes directly with property owners by July 31 to avoid project delays.

Infrastructure Push: Lucknow Night Safari, Logistics Hubs, and Textile Park Updates

The review meeting highlighted major urban, industrial, and tourism developments across Uttar Pradesh:

• Lucknow Night Safari: Following Supreme Court approval on July 15, CM Yogi ordered procedural formalities to be fast-tracked for timely execution.

• Greater Noida Multi-Modal Logistics Hub: Out of 323 hectares required, 301 hectares have been acquired. Five major logistics companies have registered, with plot allocations progressing rapidly.

• Lucknow Mega Textile Park: Infrastructure construction is being accelerated to establish Uttar Pradesh as a premier national hub for the apparel industry.

• Regional Water Projects: Swift implementation was ordered for Unnao's Aqua Bridge and Kanpur’s 40 MLD tertiary treatment water supply for the Panki Thermal Power Plant.

Strict Safety Mandates: Fire Safety Audit in Hospitals and Power Feeder Reforms

Safety and governance remain central to the administration's guidelines. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered immediate fire safety audits across all government and private medical colleges, district hospitals, and commercial hotels to ensure 100% compliance with valid fire NOCs. In Lucknow, municipal authorities were instructed to urgently shift high-tension power lines running above sewer lines and manholes. Addressing energy management, the state will analyze power feeders individually—evaluating load conditions, supply hours, and revenue collection—to enhance technical efficiency and consumer satisfaction.

Empowering Rural Youth: Digital Libraries and Grassroots Micro-Irrigation

To strengthen rural infrastructure, the Chief Minister mandated strict deadline compliance for establishing digital libraries across Gram Panchayats, providing village youth direct access to competitive study materials and digital resources. Additionally, under the 'Per Drop More Crop' initiative, micro-irrigation and modern water conservation techniques are being integrated into local farming strategies. District Magistrates were also tasked with holding regular reviews of MP and MLA local area development funds to guarantee transparent, high-quality execution of community-led welfare projects.
