Chief Minister to Inaugurate and Lay Foundation Stones for 53 Development Projects Worth Rs 342 Crore in Taj City
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has arrived in the historic Taj city on a high-profile, two-day official visit starting Saturday. During this extensive tour, the Chief Minister will gift a massive package of 53 major development projects worth Rs 342 crore to Agra, aimed at bolstering urban infrastructure, healthcare, tourism, and public welfare. The primary state-level event is scheduled at the Tata Grounds on Fatehabad Road, where the Chief Minister will review departmental exhibitions, distribute beneficiary certificates, and hand over formal appointment letters to newly selected Anganwadi workers before addressing a large public gathering.
High-Level Reviews, Infrastructure Launches, and Foundation Stones
Following the public address, CM Yogi Adityanath will head to the Commissioner's Auditorium to chair a high-level administrative review meeting with departmental heads and local public representatives to accelerate regional development. The visit features foundation stone laying ceremonies for projects worth Rs 292.40 crore across various sectors. Key infrastructure undertakings include the construction of a new 150-bed Lady Loyal Hospital valued at Rs 93.81 crore, the development of the CM Grid Road between Subhash Park and Maruti Estate costing Rs 79.15 crore, and a major stormwater drainage network in Shastripuram amounting to Rs 65.44 crore. Additional projects feature a new DIOS office building, the tourism revitalization of the sacred Shri Kailash Temple, a working women's hostel, and the comprehensive renovation of the Balkeshwar Theme Park.
Inauguration of Completed Projects Worth Rs 50 Crore
In addition to laying new foundation stones, the Chief Minister will formally inaugurate and dedicate 17 completed infrastructure projects worth Rs 50.06 crore to the public. These completed works include modern prison barracks at the district jail built for approximately Rs 8 crore to improve inmate welfare, concrete roads in Khandari Bapu Nagar, the extensive beautification and landscaping of Paliwal Park worth Rs 4.86 crore, and an RCC culvert and duct network in Sikandra. These targeted enhancements are designed to ease traffic congestion, improve public utility management, and strengthen the overall civic framework of Agra.

Over the past nine years under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Agra has evolved far beyond its traditional identity as a global tourism destination into a modern, thriving industrial and economic hub in western Uttar Pradesh. Landmark initiatives transforming the city include the rapid execution of the Agra Metro Rail Project, the Ganga Jal Project ensuring purified piped water to households, and massive urban expansion projects like the 'Greater Agra' high-tech townships and 'Atalpuram' housing schemes valued at Rs 5,142 crore.
