Massive Recruitment Drive for 62,000 Posts to Be Completed by December
Millions of aspirants preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh have massive reason to cheer. In a major administrative push ahead of the upcoming electoral milestones, the Uttar Pradesh government has set a rigorous target to fill a staggering 62,000 vacant positions across various state departments by December. Key recruitment bodies, including the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) and the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), have stepped up operations to streamline notifications, exam schedules, and final appointments on a fast-track mode.
Major Focus on Education Department and Higher Education Openings
The education sector will witness the lion's share of employment opportunities under this mega recruitment campaign. The Education Selection Commission and UPPSC have finalized preparations to roll out extensive notifications. For higher education institutions, official notifications for 111 principal positions in aided colleges have already been released, while processes for over 2,100 assistant professor posts are slated to go live. Furthermore, requisitions for roughly 150 positions in minority colleges and around 300 posts in secondary minority schools are expected to be formally submitted between September and October.
School-Level Vacancies: TGT, PGT, and Principal Positions
A large volume of openings is concentrated in secondary and basic schools across the state. Requisitions for 2,643 headmaster and principal openings in aided secondary schools have already been uploaded to the commission portal. Additionally, recruitment drives encompassing TGT, PGT, and primary teaching positions feature 21,252 uploaded requisitions, alongside 8,905 vacancies dedicated to government inter colleges. Administrative positions are also getting a fillies, with the finalization of 131 junior clerk and 25 stenographer posts under the Directorate of Education in Prayagraj nearing completion.
Rural Teacher Recruitment and Upcoming Notifications
To strengthen foundational learning, the Uttar Pradesh government is gearing up to forward requisitions for roughly 35,000 teacher openings in rural schools to the Basic Education Council Commission. Alongside these classroom roles, the Basic Education Department will also recruit 2,000 instructors. With strict timelines set for completion by December, candidates are strongly advised to monitor official portals regularly to stay updated on application windows, exam patterns, and selection criteria.
