News Topical, Digital Desk : These days, heart diseases are rapidly making people their victims. These days, shocking cases of heart attack are coming to light. Because of this, the question that often comes to mind is why the cases of heart diseases are increasing. Actually, heart disease does not occur suddenly. It starts gradually due to our habits.

Doctors themselves also believe that due to some of our habits, our heart becomes weak and gradually starts getting sick. Especially some morning habits cause more harm to our heart. Recently, heart specialist and director of Cardiovascular Precision Medicine Dr. Sanjay Bhojraj gave information about this through a video and told which are those morning habits that weaken our heart and   increase the risk of heart attack .

Do heart attacks occur more often in the morning?

The doctor said that morning time is a "high-alert window" for your heart. This is why most heart attacks occur between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. In such a situation, you can protect your heart during this risky time by making some simple changes in your morning routine.

Why is morning time most dangerous for the heart?

According to Dr. Bhojraj, it all depends on the body's natural wake-up response. As soon as you open your eyes in the morning after a night's sleep, your system becomes active. Cortisol levels increase in the body (which is a stress hormone), platelets become sticky (which increases the chances of blood clots) and  blood pressure  increases rapidly.

This triple effect means that your heart is working harder than normal and as time goes on, this pressure increases. Dr Bhojraj said that heart attacks and sudden cardiac deaths are highest between 7 am and 11 am, while it decreases around 5-6 pm in the evening.

Morning habits that harm your heart

Dr. Bhojraj warned that the way you start your morning can increase the risk of heart diseases. Some such dangerous morning habits include the following:-

  • Drinking tea or coffee on an empty stomach
  • Missing drinking water or taking morning medications
  • Getting straight to work or meetings as soon as you wake up
  • Starting a run without activating your body

What should be the routine for a healthy heart?

These habits cause great harm to your heart. In such a situation, it is very important to follow the right routine for a healthy heart. Therefore, Dr. Bhojraj gave some suggestions, by adopting which the heart can be made more healthy-

  • Start your day with water before tea or coffee.
  • If there is any medicine to be taken in the morning, do not miss it.
  • Have a light, protein-rich breakfast, which helps maintain energy.
  • Do 10-15 minutes of stretching, walking or yoga. This can reduce the stress on the heart in the morning.
