News Topical, Digital Desk : The women's protest in Shastri Nagar Sector 2 continued for the fifth consecutive day. Women and their small children fear the loss of their small homes. Houses here have posted "House for Sale" posters, encouraging people to migrate.

The protesting women shouted slogans, pleading for relief. News of the weeping families is spreading far and wide. In response, those who once lived here and are currently in responsible professions are also arriving at the scene and brainstorming solutions to this crisis.

On Tuesday, Supreme Court advocate Vikas Bansal, who lived there for many years, arrived at the site. He said the photographs recently presented by the Housing and Development Board to the Supreme Court show large complexes built on residential land. However, the situation in Sector 2 is completely different. Here, low-income groups have 38-meter and 65-meter apartments.

If setbacks are left in such small houses, how will families live? The council should provide a list of such buildings and their actual condition. He also had the houses photographed on the spot.

He said that there is a stay on filing interim appeal in the Supreme Court at present, but he will approach the court with proper documents.

Earlier on April 12th, colony resident Hemant Singh, a chemical engineer and consultant by profession, cited the UP Housing and Development Board Regulations 1982, which clearly state in Section 4, Number 24, that the rules for the Low Income Housing Scheme will be in accordance with the Indian Standard IS 8888-1978. He said that IS 8888 clearly states that this is not mandatory in buildings built for the low income group.

On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal's district president Vishnudutt Parashar and metropolitan president Akram Ghazi reached the protest site and supported the demands of the residents.

Sandeep Jain of the National Minority Front stated that everyone has the constitutional right to earn a living. The government should find a solution to this crisis. Shilpi Jain, Rakhi Nagpal, Seema Singh, Rajni Chawla, Shalu Sharma, Satish Garg, Anjaneya Singh, and Sanjeev Pundir were present.
