News Topical, Digital Desk : Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd, the Tata Group's auto parts maker, is looking to capitalise on the opportunities emerging from the modernisation of Indian Railways, making it a key focus area in addition to its core auto parts business.

The company has already partnered with global technology giants Skoda, Compin Fensa and Air International Thermal Systems to bring world-class products and technologies to the Indian market, company Vice Chairman Arvind Goyal said on Monday.

"India's rail network is undergoing rapid modernisation and with the government's focus on improving infrastructure, travel convenience and passenger comfort, it is the right time to enter this sector," Goyal said.

"Through our collaboration with Skoda, we aim to combine global expertise with India's manufacturing capabilities," he said. Citing the example of Vande Bharat trains as an example of how the government is investing heavily to provide high-speed, good quality and comfortable trains, he said, "Diversifying beyond automotive, the railway sector is a natural choice for Tata AutoComp." Tata AutoComp is already supplying components for the Vande Bharat trains.

It will showcase its propulsion, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, seating and sustainable light rail solutions at the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) 2025 to be held at Bharat Mandapam on October 15-17. The company said its partnership with global technology leaders in the railway sector is in line with its mission to localise advanced global technologies and make them cost-competitive for India.
