Sun Pharma Share: The company gave a big update regarding the appointment of MD

News Topical, Digital Desk : Pharma giant Sun Pharma has released an update on the management after the stock market closed on Friday. The company has informed that it has appointed Kirti Ganorkar as the Managing Director for 5 years from September 1, 2025. While Dilip Sanghvi will continue to be the Executive Chairman of the Board. The company said in an exchange filing, "Sun Pharma today announced the appointment of Kirti Ganorkar as Managing Director in place of Dilip Sanghvi. This appointment will be effective from September 1, 2025 and the entire business and all functions will report to him. This appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders in the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Chemical engineer and MBA Ganorkar joined Sun Pharma in 1996. The company said that Kirti Ganorkar has been leading the India business at Sun Pharma since June 2019. Under his leadership, the company's India business has grown steadily, further increasing its market share. Prior to this, he has held various leadership roles in Sun Pharma in business development, marketing, M&A, new product introduction, project management, IP and litigation. Share performance The company's stock closed at Rs 1,688 with a gain of 0.036 per cent on Friday. The company's stock has seen a gain of 11.73 per cent in the last one year.
