News Topical, Digital Desk : Former Union Minister Smriti Irani demanded that the opposition unanimously pass the Nari Vandan Act (Women's Reservation Bill). Otherwise, women will seek justice. This is not a threat from women, but a humble request. In the House, she took a dig at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's mother-in-law and daughter-in-law serial, saying that the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law has lost.

The former Union Minister countered by saying, "If Akhilesh has the guts, he should win an election from anywhere other than his ancestral seat, or his stronghold. We defeated the Congress national president in his own stronghold. The SP chief should contest from Gorakhpur."

Regarding SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's opposition to the Women's Reservation Bill, she said that the Constitution does not provide for reservation based on religion. Akhilesh Yadav should know this. Smriti Irani urged all parties to treat Indian women fairly. The country will not forgive those who disrupt this respect for women.
