Sakat Chauth is also known as Tilkuta Chauth. Donating sesame seeds on this day is considered most auspicious. Therefore, donate sesame seeds and jaggery on this day. Doing so pacifies the Shani Dosha and removes obstacles in life. It also increases respect and honor.
Donation of warm clothes
Sakat Chauth falls during the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Magh, when it is very cold. According to scriptures, donating blankets, warm clothes, and shoes to a needy person or a Brahmin on this day helps alleviate ancestral curses and averts difficulties for children.

Copper vessels and Dakshina

- Durva offering - Offer 21 Durva bundles to Lord Ganesha while chanting the mantra 'Om Gan Ganpataye Namah'. This increases intelligence and knowledge.
- Shami Leaves – If there is a lot of struggle in your life, then offer Shami leaves to Lord Ganesha.
- Chandra Darshan - The Sakat Chauth fast is incomplete without offering prayers to the Moon God. Therefore, be sure to add some milk and whole grains to the water offered.
