News Topical, Digital Desk : Russia on Sunday launched a major attack on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and other Ukrainian cities using cruise-ballistic missiles and drones. The attacks also targeted several infrastructure facilities, including the Odessa port and power plants. One police officer was killed and 24 others were injured in the city of Lviv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attacks targeted Kyiv, as well as the Dnipro, Kirovo, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Lviv, and Sumy regions. A large number of residential buildings and railway property were damaged.
Russia does not want to end the war through negotiations.
Zelensky said Russia is more focused on damaging Ukraine through attacks than on ending the war through negotiations. This week, Russia has launched 1,300 drones, 1,400 guided bombs, and 96 missiles into Ukraine. The latest Russian attack includes 33 missiles and 274 drones.
The war has been going on for four years
Earlier on Saturday, Ukraine launched a drone attack 1,400 kilometers into Russia. The attack damaged a Russian missile factory and injured 11 people. It's worth noting that the United States has been working tirelessly to end the four-year-long Russia-Ukraine war, but these efforts are hampered by claims of land grabbing.
