Aja Ekadashi: The fast of Aja Ekadashi is observed every year on the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. On this day, Lord Vishnu is worshipped with rituals. In the year 2024, the fast of Aja Ekadashi will be observed on 29th August. Aja Ekadashi auspicious yoga

In the year 2024, the fast of Aja Ekadashi will be observed on Thursday, the Ekadashi falling on this day is considered very auspicious. Along with this, there are auspicious yogas named Siddhi and Sarvartha Siddhi on the day of Aja Ekadashi. By worshiping Lord Vishnu in these auspicious yogas, you get happiness and prosperity.

Shubh Puja Muhurat 
Although you can meditate on Lord Vishnu at any time on Aaja Ekadashi, but the auspicious time for worship will be considered from 5:30 am to 9 am. During this time, worshiping Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi will give you auspicious results. If you are going to observe a fast, then you should break it on the morning of August 30, because breaking the fast of Ekadashi on Dwadashi Tithi is considered auspicious. 

Aja Ekadashi Vrat Vidhi
On this day, the person observing the fast should wake up in Brahma Muhurta and after taking bath etc., clean the place of worship as well. Before worshiping, you can sprinkle a few drops of Gangajal on the place of worship. After this, place the idols or pictures of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi on the place of worship and start the worship. During the worship, you should chant the mantras of Lord Krishna and Narayan Stotra. Offer Prasad, coconut, water, Tulsi, fruits and flowers to God during the worship. At the end of the worship, you should sing the Aarti of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Next day, on Dwadashi, do Paran after the worship. On Dwadashi, you should feed Brahmins and give donations and only after that you should eat food.

Aja Ekadashi Importance
Aja Ekadashi is considered to be a very auspicious day in Hinduism. By fasting on this day, all the sins of a person are washed away and he gets a place in Lord Vishnu's Vaikuntha Dham. The person who fasts is also freed from the bonds of worldly attachment and the evils inside him are eliminated. The person who fasts on this day should follow complete celibacy and should not consume meat, alcohol, rice, barley, garlic, lentils and onion etc.
