Rajasthan: Preparations underway to connect Sirohi to rail network, survey work for new lines approved:

To strengthen the infrastructure by the railways, works of new lines, doubling, gauge conversion and electrification are being done at a rapid pace. Survey works are being approved for the construction of new lines to connect new areas through rail.

In order to strengthen rail connectivity in tribal dominated areas of Rajasthan, on 9 June 2025, the Central Government approved the final location survey for the new rail line Marwar Bagra (Jalore)-Sirohi-Swarupganj (96 km). Jalore is an important city of Rajasthan which is located on the Samdari-Bhildi-Gandhidham railway route. Sirohi is the district headquarters and is located near Delhi-Ajmer-Aburod-Ahmedabad.
