The woman could not be identified
The mutilated body of the woman was recovered from inside a rainwater drainage pipe in the new terminal under construction at Patna airport. Officials gave this information on Sunday. Officials said that the age of the woman is believed to be between 35 and 40 years, but she has not been identified yet.
The police of the airport police station has sent the body to IGIMS for post-mortem. Looking at the circumstances, it is being speculated that the woman was raped and murdered. Actually, three such agencies are working in the construction of the new terminal building of the airport, under which women workers and women laborers are providing services.
SDPO-1 (Secretariat) Anu Kumari said that at 7:10 pm on Saturday, information was received that a dead body was seen inside the pipe. She said, 'Officers of the Airport Police Station immediately reached the spot and the woman's body was taken out by cutting the pipe.' An officer of the Airport Police Station said that the body was seen during the inspection of the drainage system.
The body was sent for post mortem
He said, 'The body has been sent for post-mortem and every aspect is being investigated. Efforts are on to identify the deceased woman.' He said, 'Employees working at the construction site are being questioned. Statements of contractors are also being recorded.'
