
News Topical, Digital Desk : Pahalgam SHO Transferred: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, many policemen have been transferred. Pahalgam SHO and five other inspector rank officers have been transferred. 26 people lost their lives in the major terrorist attack 13 days ago. After this, some police officers have been transferred.
In fact, SHO of Pahalgam Riyaz Ahmed along with SHO Abdul Rashi, Nisar Ahmed, Salinder Singh, Peer Gulzar Ahmed and Parvez Ahmed have been transferred. Riyaz Ahmed has been called from Pahalgam to the police line in Anantnag.
Security review
Earlier on Sunday (May 4), Kashmir Inspector General of Police VK Birdi reviewed the security in the valley after the Pahalgam terror attack last month. A police spokesperson said, "IGP (Inspector General of Police) Kashmir VK Birdi held a joint security review meeting at PCR Kashmir today, which was attended by officers from various security forces including police, army, intelligence agencies and CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces)."
Focus on current challenges in the valley
The officers briefed the IGP about the overall security scenario, mainly focusing on the current challenges in the valley. The spokesperson further said, "The discussion focused on intelligence gathering, threat assessment, emergency response preparedness and inter-agency coordination."
IGP Kashmir Birdi underlined the need to strengthen synergy among all security and intelligence agencies for seamless information sharing and joint operational preparedness.
