Nutritionist and diabetes educator Deepshikha Jain shared a video and told about 3 vegetables (Vegetables to Control Diabetes) which help in controlling sugar. Diabetes patients can prevent the increase in blood sugar level by including these vegetables in their diet. Let's know the names of these vegetables.

Okra is a nutritious vegetable rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals. It is especially beneficial for diabetes patients. The soluble fiber present in okra slows down digestion, which leads to slow absorption of glucose and keeps the blood sugar level stable.

Also, okra seeds have anti-diabetic properties, which help in increasing insulin sensitivity. Okra is also low in calories, which is helpful in controlling weight. You can eat it by making a vegetable or  okra water  is also considered beneficial.

Bitter gourd

Bitter gourd is known for its bitter taste, but it is a natural medicine for diabetes. Bitter gourd contains two important compounds called charantin and polypeptide-P, which help in lowering blood sugar.

Also, bitter gourd stimulates the pancreas and increases insulin secretion. The antioxidants present in it  reduce oxidative stress , which helps prevent complications of diabetes. Therefore, it is beneficial for diabetic patients to drink bitter gourd juice on an empty stomach in the morning.

Ginger

Ginger is a hot spice that not only enhances the taste of food but also helps in controlling diabetes. It contains a compound called gingerol, which increases insulin sensitivity. Also, ginger reduces the absorption of glucose by slowing down the digestive system.

Inflammation in the body can increase in diabetes, in such a situation the anti-inflammatory properties of ginger reduce it. Drinking ginger tea or using raw ginger or dry ginger (dry ginger) in food can be beneficial.
