New Delhi: India is continuously becoming militarily powerful under the government led by PM Modi. The government is engaged in upgrading the capabilities of the three armies, due to which the tension of neighboring countries China and Pakistan is also constantly increasing.

The Indian Navy has also decided to increase its combat capability to reduce China's growing interference in the Indo-Pacific region. At the same time, a mega drone deal can also be made with the US.

France will help in building nuclear submarines

Meanwhile, to increase the strength of the Navy, India is going to take another big step with its strategic defense partner France.

In fact, according to a Hindustan Times report, France's Emmanuel Macron government is ready to discuss and support the construction of nuclear attack submarines with India and is offering 100 per cent technology transfer to India for 110 kilo-newton thrust aircraft engines and full-capacity underwater drones.

It may be sealed during Doval's visit

Let us tell you that between 30 September and 1 October, India-France strategic talks are going to be held in Paris between National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Macron's diplomatic advisor Emmanuel Bonne.

This defence deal is also on the agenda of the talks. Doval is also expected to meet Macron during his visit and brief the French President about India's efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

Macron has been in favor of ending the war.

MQ-9B drone deal possible with US

On the other hand, on the sidelines of the Quad summit being held in the US, PM Modi and US President Joe Biden held bilateral talks today. The billion-dollar drone deal between India and the US was finalised in this meeting as Modi discussed several issues with Biden to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Both leaders also discussed the drone deal in detail.

Drones will be purchased for $ 3 billion

Actually, India is in the process of purchasing 31 MQ-9B Sky Guardian and Sea Guardian drones from the US. The cost of purchasing these drones is around $3 billion. India aims to enhance the surveillance system of the armed forces, especially on the border with China.

Negotiations for this deal have been going on for more than a year. In June last year, India approved the purchase of MQ-9B Sky Guardian and Sea Guardian armed drones equipped with air-to-ground missiles and laser-guided bombs from the US.
