News Topical, Digital Desk : In Dumka, the capital of Jharkhand, the murder of a six-month-old child's mother and elderly grandmother in front of him has once again created a stir in the area. The incident is said to have taken place in Amchua village, under the Shikaripara police station area. Police have detained the son-in-law and are investigating. According to sources, this murder was committed by a relative, not someone else, for land.

Little did the six-month-old know that the pampered and loving home she lived at her grandmother's house would turn her life upside down in just a few minutes. Her mother and grandmother would be brutally murdered before her eyes. The double murder that occurred Friday night (September 19) in Amchua village, under the Shikaripara police station area of Dumka district, has sent shockwaves throughout the area.

The killers did not harm the girl.

The killer brutally murdered the innocent girl's 70-year-old grandmother, Sona Baski, and her 20-year-old mother, Sona Murmu. Surprisingly, Sona Murmu's 6-month-old daughter, who was also present in the house, was not harmed by the killers. The bodies of both women were found lying next to each other in the courtyard of the house. It appears they were beaten to death with a heavy object. It is reported that no one else was at home except these three at the time of the incident.

Raju Soren lived in his in-laws' house as a son-in-law.

The deceased Sona Murmu's husband, Raju Soren, a resident of Jalvaduba village in the Kathikund police station area, lived with his in-laws as a live-in son-in-law. However, Raju claimed that he was not at home at the time of the incident, but had gone out to play football. An elderly woman and a six-month-old child were at home. Seizing this opportunity, both women were murdered late at night.

Dog squad and forensic team are investigating

According to Raju, when he returned from a football game late at night, he found the bodies of his wife and mother-in-law. He raised an alarm among the villagers and informed the police. Police arrived late at night and began their investigation. In the morning, the SDPO, along with the station in-charge, arrived at the scene with a police team. A dog squad and forensic team were deployed to assist in gathering scientific evidence.

The son-in-law was taken into custody by the police

However, the police have taken the son-in-law into custody based on suspicion in this case. Since the elderly woman had no sons, she had previously married off her daughter and kept her as a son-in-law. That too did not materialize. Over time, the elderly woman's granddaughter married, and she too was kept as a son-in-law.

It's worth noting that this is the third double murder in Dumka. In the first incident, in Chorkatta village, under the Muffashil police station area of Dumka, the son-in-law beat his mother-in-law and father-in-law to death because they refused to provide him with financial assistance. In the second, the murder was committed by a lover who was in love with his girlfriend, who was refused by her parents. However, the continuous occurrence of such incidents has shaken people.
