New Delhi:  Kajari Teej is a very special festival for married women, which will be celebrated on Thursday, 22nd August this year. Married women observe this fast for their husband's long and happy life, while unmarried girls observe this fast to get a good groom. The fast is broken in the evening after the moon worship. Kajari Teej is also known as Kajali, Badi Teej, Saturi Teej.

On this day, women do sixteen adornments in the evening and worship Goddess Parvati along with Lord Shiva. This fast is observed for the long life of the husband as well as for the birth of children.

On special occasions, along with dressing up well, there is a tradition of decorating hands with mehndi. If you are also thinking of applying mehndi and are looking for beautiful mehndi designs for it, then here are some ideas for it.

Back Hand Mehndi

No doubt, full Mehndi on hands looks very good, but vine or a simple design on the back hand looks better and if you are going to office, then it is best for that. You can make some such design.

Front Hand Mehndi

Mehndi color gets more on the front hand , so choose a design for it which makes the hand look beautiful. Apply mehndi by repeating this type of double leaf design. This will take less time and will look different after getting ready.

Finger Mehndi

This time, instead of decorating the whole hand, decorate only the fingers with mehndi. It looks very different and beautiful. Also, you can apply it yourself.

mehndi on feet

If you are thinking of applying mehendi on feet along with hands, then do not choose very difficult designs for it. Simple designs are best for feet.

Where is Kajari Teej celebrated?

Apart from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the excitement of Kajari Teej is also seen in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
