
News Topical, Digital Desk : The Air Force Jaguar fighter plane crash in Churu, Rajasthan claimed the lives of two young pilots. 31-year-old Squadron Leader Lokendra Singh Sindhu and 23-year-old Flight Lieutenant Rishi Raj Singh Deora lost their lives. Sindhu was a resident of Rohtak in Haryana, while Singh was a resident of Pali in Rajasthan.
Lokendra Singh Sindhu's ancestral village was Khedi Sadh village in Rohtak. His family lives in Dev Colony in Rohtak city. There is a wave of mourning here. There is an atmosphere of grief in the family. Lokendra has left behind his wife, one-month-old son and parents.
Sindhu spoke to her family via video call on Tuesday evening and just a few hours before the incident, she had exchanged messages with her family to check on their well-being.
Sindhu's family said in Rohtak on Thursday that the family was celebrating the birth of the pilot's son, who was born exactly a month ago on June 10, but no one knew what was going to happen next.

Rishi Raj Singh will be given a final farewell today at his native place in Pali district. Local people are mourning his death. The family members are crying inconsolably. Rishi Raj Singh was not married yet. The family members were looking for a girl for his marriage.

The two-seater Jaguar aircraft crashed during a routine training mission near Bhanuda village in Churu, Rajasthan on Wednesday (July 9). Both the pilots on board were killed. There was no damage to any civilian property. The Air Force said that a Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
The local police station officer said that the plane crashed in a field in Bhanuda village at around 1:25 pm. Human body parts have been found near the accident site. After the accident, flames rose and a loud noise was heard. After this, local people reached the spot.
Third accident this year
This is the third Jaguar fighter plane to crash this year. The first accident took place on March 7 in Panchkula, Haryana. The second accident took place on April 2 near Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Jaguar jets were inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF) in 1979 and an initial batch of aircraft arrived ready to fly from Britain.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed grief over the accident in Churu. He said that the sad news of the crash of the Indian Air Force plane in Ratangarh area of Churu district was received. Immediately after the incident, the administration is on alert mode and instructions have been given to the officials for relief and rescue work. May God give place to the departed souls in his lotus feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense sorrow.
