CM Yogi Agra Visit Today: Comprehensive Two-Day Traffic Diversion Implemented
In view of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's high-profile scheduled visits to Agra, the local traffic police department has enforced a rigorous two-day special traffic diversion plan across the city. The administrative arrangements are tailored to streamline security and maintain vehicular order for the Chief Minister's programs at the Tata Ground on Fatehabad Road on Saturday and at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Khandari campus on Sunday. Commuters, motorists, and commercial transport operators are strongly advised to take note of the alternate routes to avoid severe congestion and transit delays.
Detailed Traffic Diversion Plan for Heavy and Medium Vehicles
To prevent traffic gridlocks along high-density corridors, strict restrictions have been imposed on heavy and medium-sized commercial vehicles. Vehicles approaching from Fatehabad toward Shamsabad, Iradatnagar, Saiya, Digner, and Rohta will be systematically redirected via the Inner Ring Road, Rahankalan, Kuberpur, and the Gutila underpass. Furthermore, the entry of all medium and heavy transport vehicles from the Ramada underpass toward Tora Chowki and the Tata Ground has been completely prohibited during the event hours.
Commercial freight traffic originating from the Yamuna Expressway and the Agra-Lucknow Expressway heading toward southern peripheries will also be routed through the Inner Ring Road and Gutila underpass. Conversely, heavy vehicles traveling from the Shamsabad Inner Ring Road will be channeled toward the Yamuna Expressway and Kuberpur via the Ramada Inner Ring Road. Additionally, to ensure seamless movement around transit hubs, the entry, loading, and unloading of heavy vehicles at transport warehouses between Yamuna Kinara, Jeevani Mandi, and Water Works remain restricted.
Guidelines for Light Vehicles and Alternate Commuter Routes
While heavy commercial transport faces extensive bans, light motor vehicles have been provided with designated alternate lanes to ensure smooth daily commuting. Light vehicles approaching from Ramada can reach their destinations via Tora Chowki, 125 Foota Road, and Kaila Devi Dharmkanta, while vehicles traveling from Selfie Point will proceed toward Ramada via designated lanes. Traffic authorities have also restricted the movement of medium and heavy vehicles from Etmaddaula, Water Works, Sultanganj culvert, and Paliwal Park toward Jeevani Mandi and the Yamuna bank. Citizens are urged to plan their travel schedules in advance and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed across major intersections.
