News Topical, Digital Desk : An Indian Air Force contingent has landed at Mont-de-Marsan Air Base in France to participate in a bilateral air exercise with the French Air and Space Force from November 16-25.
Titled Exercise Garuda 25, an IAF official said that IAF's Sukhoi-30 MKI aircraft and Rafale fighter jets will participate in the exercise, which will showcase the might and professionalism of both the air forces.
Why is this exercise special?
He said the exercise will further enhance interoperability, promote exchange of best practices and strengthen defence cooperation between the two air forces.
It is worth noting that in 2022, the joint air exercise Garuda between the Indian Air Force and the French Air and Space Force saw Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and French Air Force Chief General Stephane Mille jointly fly the Rafale and Sukhoi-30. Both participated in the exercise as part of a joint training mission flown from Air Force Station Jodhpur.
