News Topical, Digital Desk : Police have intensified their action in the case of prostitution and gang rape operating under the guise of hookah bars and hotels. Preparations have begun to seize the properties of 13 other Gangster Act accused currently in jail. To this end, two police teams have been formed to gather details of their movable and immovable properties.
In January 2025, police raided the Fly-In-2 Hotel near Geeta Vatika. During the investigation, three minor girls alleged gang rape and forced prostitution. Subsequently, several accused, including the hotel owner, were arrested and sent to jail.
Police investigations revealed that this incident wasn't confined to a single hotel, but rather involved an organized gang. The gang leader has been identified as Anirudh Ojha. The accused lured minor girls through internet media and later blackmailed them into prostitution.
The gang includes several accused, including Priyanshu Jaiswal, Rajan alias Wasim Ahmed, Vimal Vishwakarma, Muskan alias Mala Paswan, Shrey Shukla, Nandani alias Pari, Ajay Singh, Anurag Tripathi, Sanjeet Kumar Jaiswal, Akash Gupta, and Gaurav Kumar Kashoudhan. Police suspect that three other accused associated with the gang have amassed illegal wealth through hotels and other businesses.
These are also being investigated. City Superintendent of Police Nimish Patil stated that details of the accused's criminally acquired assets are being collected. Two teams are engaged in this task. Property worth six crore rupees has already been seized from one accused. Action will soon be taken against the properties of other accused as well.
