On X, Rishabh recalled his struggles from almost a decade ago while celebrating his recent release in a big way. He wrote, "From struggling to get a single evening show in 2016 to 5000 plus houseful shows in 2025. This journey has been nothing but your love, support and God's grace. Forever grateful to each and every person who made this possible." He added a red heart emoji. #KantaraChapter1.
Earlier, screens were not available for a film.
In his post, Rishabh also shared an old tweet from 2016, when his directorial debut, "Ricky," was released. Starring Rakshit Shetty, Haripriya, Achyuth Kumar, and Ravi Kale, the crime thriller struggled to find screens.

At the time, Rishabh had written in Kannada on X (formerly Twitter), “Finally, after a lot of efforts, we got a 7 pm show at Big Cinema, Mangalore from tomorrow. Those who want to watch it can do so.”
