News Topical, Digital Desk : Four friends conspired to rob 3.5 lakh rupees from the operator of a public service center in the Bisrakh police station area of Greater Noida. Four police teams examined nearly 500 CCTV footage, identified and arrested the criminals. Nearly 3 lakh rupees, a mobile phone, a bike, and other items were recovered from the accused.
According to Inspector in-charge Krishna Gopal Sharma, bike-borne miscreants had looted Rs 3.5 lakh from Harendra Kumar, a public service centre operator, resident of Chak Shahberi in the area, while he was returning home from his shop late in the evening on April 8.
Based on the victim's complaint, a case was registered and four teams were formed to arrest the criminals. The teams tracked them down based on CCTV footage.
Identification of the miscreants
The arrested criminals were identified as Vicky Yadav, resident of Balle Ka Chowraha Bamheta, Police Station Webcity, District Ghaziabad, Amit, resident of village Postika Pisaba, Police Station Pisaba, District Aligarh, Jitesh alias Pandit, resident of Yakubpur, Police Station Salempur, District Bulandshahr and Dhanesh alias Anuj alias Chhota Don, resident of village Bamheta Ramu Ki Gali, Police Station Webcity, District Ghaziabad.
During interrogation, Jitesh revealed that Amit, Vicky, and Dhanesh were his friends. They sat and ate together. Amit frequently visited the Sheetla Mata Temple in Tigri. During this time, he learned of a large transaction at the public service center. Following this, the four hatched a robbery plot.
They walk home with cash
During recce, it was found that Harendra goes to his home on foot every day late in the evening after taking cash from the public service center. To carry out the crime, all four had come on two bikes. Vicky and Amit had come on a bike without number plate to snatch the money. The other two miscreants were keeping an eye on the people coming and going. As soon as Harendra left for home with the bag of money, both the miscreants showed him a pistol and threatened to kill him, carried out the crime and fled. A case has been registered against all four accused and they have been sent to jail.
