News Topical, Digital Desk : In Firozabad district, Uttar Pradesh, the GRP has arrested four members of a notorious gang involved in thefts on moving trains. They also recovered goods worth approximately 1.5 lakh rupees. This gang had been carrying out thefts on trains for a long time. A mother and son were also involved in this gang.

Before committing the theft, this gang would make a plan by doing recce and then after carrying out the crime in a very cunning manner, they would escape from the moving train.

Mother and son used to find victims by doing Reiki

According to the police, a woman, along with her son and two other accomplices, would board passenger trains and first conduct a recce of the passengers' luggage. The woman would sit at one place and keep an eye on the passengers. As soon as the passengers lost their attention, she would signal the members to pick someone's pocket, steal someone's mobile phone, or steal goods from bags kept in the train, or get off the train at the station's outer station as soon as the train slowed down with the goods and run away. This was how this gang used to carry out the thefts.

GRP was searching for a long time 

CO GRP Uday Pratap Singh said that this gang has been committing thefts on trains for a long time. The GRP had been searching for them for a long time. On November 6th, the GRP received information about suspicious individuals at a goods warehouse near Firozabad railway station. Following this, the GRP apprehended them.

After interrogation, it was revealed that one of the arrested individuals was a resident of Firozabad and another was a notorious thief from Etah district, who was a member of the gang. A mother and son from Farrukhabad were also involved in the gang and were arrested. Police recovered eight stolen mobile phones, silver jewelry, and a knife from them.

According to the police, the recovered goods are worth over 1.5 lakh rupees. According to the police, a case has been filed against the arrested thieves and they have been sent to jail.
