New Delhi: Bollywood actress and BJP MP are constantly in the headlines these days. The reason for this is her upcoming film Emergency. The Sikh community was constantly protesting against the film, due to which its release date has been postponed. Now the news is coming that the actress has sold her Pali Hill bungalow.
Kangana had taken a loan
This information has been received from the registration documents. The actress has sold this bungalow for 32 crores which was a controversial property. She bought this property in September 2017 for 20.7 crores. She also took a loan of Rs 27 crore from ICICI Bank against the property in December 2022. The bungalow was being used as the office of her production house, Manikarnika Films.
Been wanting to sell for a long time
Last month, a YouTube page named Code Estate also shared a video stating that the office of a production house was up for sale. Although the name of the production house and the owner were not revealed, people guessed that this was Kangana Ranaut's office after seeing the pictures used in the video. Many social media users also commented in the comment section that this was Kangana's house.
This property has been purchased by Shwetha Bathija, partner of Kamalini Holdings, who lives in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
The property was the target of BMC
According to the documents, the actress' bungalow is spread over 3,075 square feet and has a 565 square foot parking area. The deal was registered on September 5 for which a stamp duty of Rs 1.92 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000 was paid. This is the same property which came under the scrutiny of BMC in 2020. In September 2020, BMC demolished parts of Kangana's office in Bandra citing illegal construction. However, the demolition work was stayed midway after the Bombay High Court's stay on September 9.
