Directed by Nitin Kakkar and backed by Vishesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films, Awarapan 2 carries forward the legacy of the 2007 cult classic:

• Solitude and Solace: The story picks up with Shivam Pandit retreating into self-imposed isolation after leaving his dark past behind. Living quietly in a remote Rajasthan village, he spends his days mourning at his beloved's grave while grappling with overwhelming guilt.

• The Bangkok Cartel War: Life takes an unexpected turn when an emotional bond rekindles his will to live. However, peace is short-lived as Shivam gets dragged into a ruthless cartel war in Bangkok, forcing him back into the violent underworld.

• Star-Studded Cast: Alongside Emraan Hashmi, the film features an ensemble cast including Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Vijayant Kohli, and Suvinder Vicky in pivotal roles.

Box Office Triumph: A Massive Commercial Hit

While the original 2007 Awarapan enjoyed a modest theatrical window before achieving cult status later, the sequel shattered expectations to become a massive financial success:

• Global Box Office Numbers: According to box office trade reports, Awarapan 2 recorded stunning worldwide gross collections of ₹213.01 crore, including ₹179.46 crore from domestic markets and ₹33.55 crore from overseas territories.

• Net Collections: The action-drama amassed an impressive ₹150.59 crore in net collections across 139,063 verified shows, cementing its status as one of the standout blockbusters of the year.
