News Topical, Digital Desk : State-owned Balmer Lawrie & Company announced a dividend announcement after market hours on Thursday. The company stated in a filing to the stock exchanges that its board of directors, at its meeting held on March 5, 2026, declared an interim dividend of ₹4.25 per equity share for the financial year 2025-26. The company had previously declared a dividend of ₹8.5 per share with an ex-date of September 16, 2025. The stock gained 1.73% today, closing at ₹173.6. According to market information, the record date for identifying shareholders eligible to receive the dividend has been set as March 11, 2026 (Wednesday). Investors whose names are on the company's records at the end of the record date will be eligible for this interim dividend. The company also stated that this dividend will be paid on 17,10,03,846 equity shares with a face value of ₹10 and will be paid to shareholders within the stipulated timeframe as per regulatory provisions.

Stock performance: The stock saw gains in Thursday's session. However, it has been declining for some time. In September last year, the stock was at 238, after which it fell to 165 by the end of January. Currently, the stock is trading below 175. A year ago, the stock was trading near 190.
