News Topical, Digital Desk : Devuthani Ekadashi, also known as Prabodhini Ekadashi, is an auspicious time.  This year,  the Devuthani Ekadashi fast  is being observed on November 1st.  It is believed that worshipping Lord Vishnu with special rituals on this day brings positive results in life.

Auspicious time of Dev Uthani Ekadashi (Dev Uthani Ekadashi Muhurat)

According to the Vedic calendar, the Ekadashi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the Kartik month begins on November 1st at 9:11 am. This Tithi will end on November 2nd at 7:31 am. Therefore, the Devuthani Ekadashi fast will be observed on Saturday, November 1st. The timings for breaking the Ekadashi fast will be as follows:

Time to break the fast - November 2, from 1:31 pm to 3:46 pm

Method of awakening the gods (Vishnu ji Puja vidhi)

On the day of Devuthani Ekadashi , wake up early in the morning and take a bath. After this, clean the place of worship thoroughly and sprinkle Ganga water. Now make footprints of Lord Vishnu in the courtyard of the house and cover them. After this, spread a clean and coarse red or yellow cloth on a platform and install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu. During the puja,  offer fruits, water chestnuts, sugarcane, potatoes, radishes, sesame seeds, etc. to Lord Shri Hari  , along with offering him sacred thread and new clothes.  Listen to the story of Devuthani Ekadashi fast.

At night, light 11 lamps at the place of worship and offer prayers. Now, along with your family, worship Lord Vishnu and his footprints. Ring bells and conch shells and chant slogans to awaken the gods. Traditionally, songs are also sung to awaken the gods.
