According to the Vedic calendar, the full moon date of the month of Margashirsha will begin at 4:37 am on December 4th. This date will end at 4:43 am on December 5th. Based on the calendar, Annapurna Jayanti will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4th.

Annapurna Jayanti Puja Vidhi (Annapurna Jayanti 2025 Puja Vidhi)

  • On the day of Jayanti, wake up early in the morning and take a bath.
  • Clean the entire kitchen thoroughly.
  • Purify the place by sprinkling Ganga water.
  • Place the idol of Goddess Annapurna in the kitchen or at the place of worship by spreading a red cloth on a wooden platform.
  • On this day, worship the stove, grinding stone and the food kept in the house in a proper manner.
  • Offer them turmeric, kumkum, Akshat and flowers.
  • Don't insult food on this day, even by mistake. Also, donate food to the poor and needy. This is considered the greatest virtuous act.

Bhoga (Bhog)

Mother Annapurna is very fond of kheer and puwa. Pure food, especially sweets, should be offered as bhog at home on this day.

  • Annapurne sada purne shankarpraanvallabhe. Parvati, who gives alms to the knowledge of renunciation and accomplishment.
