The discovery of his body near the Eastern Railway crossing late Friday night created a sensation in the area. The Government Railway Police, Deoria, arrived on the information and took the body into custody and sent it for legal action. Upon receiving the news of the incident, the family was devastated.
Rajwati Devi, wife of Ramanand, a resident of Laxmipur Machharihwa Tola village in the Rudrapur Kotwali area, told the police in her complaint that her son, Deepak, had left home on April 8, upset after being scolded for his studies. He was reported missing on April 9.
Late Friday night, Deepak called on his mobile phone to inform them that he had reached Gauri Bazaar. Before his family could reach the spot, he was hit by a train about 100 meters before the Eastern Railway crossing. His body was found mutilated at the scene. Police have initiated necessary action in the incident.
