After the second Israeli war in the 1990s, he realized that the biggest threat to Israel was missile and rocket attacks, after which he got the idea of ​​creating a defense system that would be almost impenetrable. After this, he started working on it.

The Israeli army has been using this air defense system since 2011. This air defense system is so accurate that it destroys more than 90 percent of attacks with accuracy. Danny Gold started serving in the Israeli Air Force in 1983. During this time he held many top positions in electronics, weapons and electronic warfare. After his long service period, the government made him the head of the Israeli Defense Research and Development Directorate (DDR&D) in 2016. After this, he was appointed as Brigadier General in the Israel Defense Forces.

He was also awarded the Israel Defense Prize in September 2012 for his invaluable contribution to Israel's security. He runs a company called 'Gold Technology and Entrepreneurship' after completing his service from the IDF in 2014.
